Global Arts Link was founded in 2008 by Charlene Lim, a Paris-based Singaporean cultural broker with an extensive international network. 

The agency draws from Charlene's vast experience working across disciplines and cultures to provide clients with consultation, producing, representation and tour producing services, always balancing a personalised approach with a global perspective. We understand the many challenges faced by artists and cultural organisations, and thrive on working together to find creative solutions going forward. We also work with presenters and companies in search of exceptional artists and performances for their platforms, brands and projects. 

We are proud to provide exclusive representation of world-renowned and multi-award-winning German ballet superstar Friedemann Vogel for his special projects and commercial collaborations.

We also represent the critically acclaimed Fabiana Piccioli (winner of three Knight of Illumination awards) and Sander Loonen of ARP Theatre Limited, celebrated for their evocative lighting, set, and video designs that elevate dance, opera, theatre and art installations to new heights.

Another prestigious client is Mayberry Music, a sound design company founded by the celebrated music producer and composer Alexandre Varela, which specialises in creating original music compositions for fashion films, runway shows, and commercials for the luxury industry.

Global Arts Link is also the international tour producer for a number of dance and theatre productions. These include:

In addition, we act as Booking Agent for a number of artists and companies, including London-based choreographer Jenna Lee/JLee Productions, and leading dance circus company Motionhouse, based in Wales. We also brokered the Australian premiere of Nitin Sawhney’s “Beyond Skin” 20th anniversary world tour in 2019 at the OzAsia Festival.

Past clients include Eastman|Sidi Larbi CherkaouiEnglish National Ballet, W!ld Rice (Singapore) Short+Sweet (Australia/ Singapore), The Arts Arena and International Theatre Institute ITI: an NGO founded by UNESCO with a network of centres in over 70 countries which uses the performing arts to promote peace and cultural cooperation.

Current Strategic Partners include: Overjoyed - a collective of communication experts catering to the creative sector founded by Marie-Pierre Bourdier, Charmaine King - a fashion stylist and show producer, and Sisso - a leading digital communication & marketing agency specializing in Culture, Art & Luxury. We also have Hannah Leutgeb assisting us with research, social media, and translation.

more about Charlene Lim

Always working across borders and boundaries, Charlene is committed to connecting people and ideas to promote cultural dialogue.

Beyond her ongoing work as talent agent and creative producer, Charlene occasionally speaks on panels and in conversations with artists, as well as gives lectures on topics of cultural diplomacy, tour producing, arts management, and arts marketing. In 2020, during the pandemic, she also wrote the prologue for “Physical Conversation”: a limited-edition art box and a special collaboration between star dancer Friedemann Vogel and Oliver Kröning to raise funds for a foundation for sick children, which sold out in four days.

In 2018, Charlene was appointed by the National Arts Council Singapore as Cultural Consultant to the Singapore Embassy in France to raise the profile of Singapore arts & artists in France, and to strengthen cultural relations between the two countries. 

Since 2015, Charlene has been a board member of Paris-based association L'École des arts de la scène. Founded by choreographer Beatrice Jacobs, the NGO provides disenfranchised youth access to culture through workshops and performances. 

In 2013, Charlene was the International Producer for Dance the Dream: a global music & dance tribute held in 16 cities around the world on 28th August to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. "The Dream at 50"  was initiated by Karz Productions in New York, in partnership with United Nations, UNESCO, International Theatre Institute, and YouTube amongst others.

In 2012, she led on the 50th anniversary celebration of World Theatre Day with John Malkvoich and the 30th anniversary of International Dance Day with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui at UNESCO, both events hosted by the ITI. 

From 2008 to 2010, Charlene worked on Swanning Around : a major UK-China collaboration and a highlight at the UK Pavilion National Day Performance which won the Outstanding Performance Award at the Shanghai World Expo as English National Ballet’s Asia Project Consultant.

Prior to moving to Paris, Charlene had assumed the roles of Company Manager of Akram Khan Dance Company in London, and Cultural Attaché at the Australian High Commission in Singapore
